api Green Oil (SGO) announces the acquisition of MPoli s.r.l., a Piedmontese company based in Alba with a plant in Piobesi d’Alba (CN), specialized in the collection, disposal, and regeneration of used vegetable oil (CER 200125) in the provinces of Turin, Cuneo, Asti, and Alessandria.

This acquisition allows SAPI GREEN OIL not only to expand its collection network but also to strengthen its commitment to:

  • Environmental education in schools, using digital and multimedia tools;

  • Civic awareness, based on campaigns involving families and communities;

  • Environmental innovation, with green solutions like soap made from waste oil.

With the “RecuperiamOli” project, MPoli manages a capillary network involving public administrations and citizens. Thanks to this project, over 400 street bins have been installed, engaging about 90 Municipalities and nearly 1.3 million citizens.

MPoli’s commitment was recognized by Legambiente with the Special Mention “Comuni Ricicloni” (Recycling Municipalities) in 2016, an award that recognizes the effectiveness of the collection campaigns across the entire territory. In 2017, MPoli was also honored with the title of Champion of Circular Economy in Piedmont within the Treno Verde project, for innovation in recovery and the ability to transform waste oils into a resource.

Among the flagship projects is the SCHOOL PROJECT, through which the company involves students from primary schools. The initiative, designed to spread the importance of used vegetable oil collection and its impact on the environment, includes classroom lessons and digital tools. In this way, teachers and students can learn and raise awareness even outside school hours. Every lesson is designed to transform students into “environmental ambassadors,” capable of bringing these values into their families as well.

In addition to waste management, MPoli has developed innovative reuse and regeneration solutions, such as the production of ecological soaps derived from waste oil. These products have a low environmental impact and are capable of transforming household waste into concrete tools for sustainability.
