The SAPI Group S.p.A. Acquires Stake in Sicilgrassi

We are thrilled to announce a fundamental step for our strengthening on the national territory: the SAPI Group S.p.A. has acquired a stake in Sicilgrassi S.p.A., a historical Sicilian entity, based in Catania, specialized since 1968 in the recovery and regeneration of waste oils and fats (EER 20 01 25).

This partnership consolidates two sectors of the SAPI Group:

  • Sapi Green Oil, specialized in the recovery of used vegetable oil (U.V.O.).

  • SAPI S.p.A., focused on the recovery of Animal By-Products (ABP), an area in which Sicilgrassi brings long experience and a solid position.

The joining of forces between Sapi Green Oil, a national reference player in the collection and regeneration of used vegetable oil, and Sicilgrassi’s deep knowledge of the territory and logistical infrastructure represents a unique opportunity. Together we give new energy to sustainability and accelerate the transition towards the circular economy in Southern Italy and particularly in Sicily.
